About the Narragansett Race Series
In 2013 a team of passionate runners (and beer drinkers)
got together and worked tirelessly to create something that
stood out in the New England running scene... an event that would
bring elites and novices together, in the middle of summer, with
an emphasis on fun and community. The result was the
inaugural Narragansett Summer Running Festival, a hugely
successful three-race event that featured a 5k, 10k and Half
Marathon race in Easton, Massachusetts.
Over the past few years, this event has grown faster than
anyone could anticipate, selling out each year.
Having been named “2014 Race of the Year” by the runners of New England in South Shore Road Race Guide, the event continues to grow, drawing from over 350 towns and 40 states.
In response to the increased demand from the running community, and the limited registration capacity at the summer event, the Narragansett team was excited to announce the addition of the Narragansett Fall Half Marathon during the 2015 race season, which has since developed into the award-winning New England Harvest Half Marathon. This scenic, fast course is easily accessible from both Boston, MA and Providence, RI and features music, Narragansett Beer, Cider Donuts and Pumpkin Pie at the finish line. The Fall event was an immediate success, having sold out in the first year and since drawing praise from the running community as one of the prettiest fall courses in New England.
Most recently, as of 2017, we were proud to announce the newest event to the series, the Narragansett Summer Nights 5k. This is a seaside 5k course on the beautiful property of Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, RI. An evening event, we're excited to offer something that is yet-again unique to our local running community.
Please join us for a “party for the running community”. Please register early, as our races sell out quickly. Also, if you feel like doing something nice for someone else in the process, we are always looking for charity runners (see our “Giving Back” page for details).
Cheers, and see you in July and October!
"This is truly New England's biggest little running festival. Thanks!"
