About the Narragansett Race Series

In 2013 a team of passionate runners (and beer drinkers) got together and worked tirelessly to create something that stood out in the New England running scene… an event that would bring elites and novices together, in the middle of summer, with an emphasis on fun and community. The result was the inaugural Narragansett Summer Running Festival, a hugely successful multi-race event in Easton, Massachusetts.

The Narragansett Summer Running Festival was soon named “Race of the Year” by the runners of New England, as well as numerous other distinctions. Over its 12 years it’s served as a RRCA State Championship and New England Runner Pub Series event, and drawn from over 1,000 towns and 45 states.

In response to the increased demand, and the limited registration capacity at the July event, the Narragansett team was excited to announce the addition of the Summer Nights 5k in Bristol, Rhode Island during the 2017 race season. This seaside 5k course on the beautiful property of Mount Hope Farm is an evening event, run right at sunset on the week of the summer solstice. It’s a yearly sell-out, and beloved by the local running community.

As we enter our 12th season, we are forever grateful for the runners and sponsors that join us each year to celebrate our sport. Cheers! See you at a ‘Gansett race this summer!
